I have stopped breastfeeding, why? Because I felt like it was time to. No mammoth reason, I just wanted to stop, so I did. I consider myself very lucky that this is my decision to make for Stella and I.
I feel the same way about Breast vs Bottle that I do about birthing choices. It is no one elses business which option or combination you choose. Whether you breastfeed for 6 hours or 6 years is your business and the most important part is to do what you feel is best for you and your family.
So if I think it is no one else's business why am I telling you? Because I know not all Mums feel this way, not all Mums have the confidence to say - I am a good Mum and I am doing a good job. My hope is that my confidence will help give someone else the boost they need.
A friend of mine put it perfectly - "You just can't win either way." Meaning there is pressure from all over the place no matter what you choose.
I say all of the Mums I know are just trying to do the best job they can and that is what I support.
I Support doing the best you can. I Support other mums, while we might not do the same thing we are all chasing a common goal. Happy, healthy kids. Who can argue with that?

Well said Melinda. Power to the Mum and her knowledge of herself and her children.
